The color white is truly timeless. White is classic, sophisticated, distinctive, versatile and soothing. All at the same time.
To put it bluntly, white – with all it’s countless variations in hues and intensity – is simply brilliant.
To many of our clients, nothing beats white for those cool, breezy weekend getaways at the coast or a fun night out on the town.
More importantly, no ordinary dry cleaner should stand between you and your quest to look your radiant best in your summer whites.
It's important to understand why your brilliant whites turn dingy, grayish and yellow -- despite your attempts to "wash them back to white."
Lets start with this fact: White is a color. Your white fabrics didn't start off as white. White fabrics have been dyed white and, over time, the white color will fade. Poor wet cleaning and/or poor dry cleaning are contributing factors to your assessment that "my whites are no longer white".
While you can't restore a garment or household textile to the exact, original Pantone shade of white, there are professional techniques available that can return your garments and household textiles to a shade of white that's perceptively pretty close to the original shade of white.
At RAVE FabriCARE, we pride ourselves on our national reputation for restoring your dingy, grayish and yellowish whites to brilliant white – a reputation enhanced by being featured in a New York Times Sunday Styles article on the cleaning, restoration and preservation of modern and vintage bridal gowns.
When it comes to white garments, whites typically don’t come any whiter than most bridal gowns!
And we can do this (in most cases) even if your white garments have been contaminated by fire, smoke, soot, water, mold, mildew and/or humidity as a result of a fire or flood.
If any of your 2 or 3 piece white colored ensembles with no trim (beads, rhinestones, sequins, pailettes, etc.) have become yellow, grey, dull or stained due to improper cleaning or storage, we may be able to rejuvenate or even fully restore those white colored garment to their original splendor.
Our special whitening and/or brightening processes may be able to bring them back to life.
For two or three piece ensembles, we must be able to treat all pieces of the ensemble at the same time to stand any chance of achieving consistency of color across all pieces.
Please understand that:
It's important to understand that there are risks. So it’s not possible to guarantee perfect results on every ensemble.
That being said, we’ve been able to produce excellent results on many ensembles.
At RAVE FabriCARE, our strength is our personalized advisory service. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your options, advise you as to the risks associated with each option, and identify the results you can or cannot expect from each.
If any of your 2 or 3 piece white ensembles with no trim (beads, rhinestones, sequins, pailettes, etc.) have become yellow, grey, dull or stained due to improper cleaning or storage – and they currently exhibit a clear variation in color from one piece to the other – we might still be able to employ our special whitening and/or brightening processes to bring them back to life.
Because of the pre-existing variations in color, the processes required are more time consuming and the outcome less predictable.
